Hey guys, sorry I’m a little late this month, I’ve been out of town and I didn’t have access to the internet. I left on the 27th of September. I spent the night in Salt Lake, then caught an early flight to Charleston WV. Sorry I didn’t make contact with either of you Jason or Rob, but I didn’t get to Salt Lake until 9:30 pm and I left at 7:30 am the next morning. I rented a car in WV and drove to a little town called Lewisburg. It’s a small town in rich, mountainous country. It was the scene of a civil war battle. I got a speeding ticket on my way thru...I was kind of angry that he would give me a ticket, but it looks like I’ll have to pay it. I interviewed at West Virginia College of Medicine on Monday Sept 29. The interview went well. They didn’t ask me any off-the-wall questions and I think I came across as very confident and able. Apparently they liked me, because the acceptance letter beat me home. After the interview I got back on the plane and flew to Kansas City, MO. I rented another car and drove to Kirksville, a town that reminded me of the Rexburg from our youth (not the Rexburg of today which is almost double the size it was when we were younger). The man who founded osteopathy, Andrew Stills, started the first osteopathic school in Kirksville back in 1892. The facilities were not as nice, but overall I think the programs were stronger. I interviewed there on Thursday Oct. 2. Again, the interviews went well. I think I came across as confident and eager to learn. I haven’t heard back from them yet. I flew home the following day by way of Minnesota (sorry I didn’t stop in and say hi Derik, but I was stuck in the airport, because I didn’t want to have to go thru security again). All in all I was gone for one week...that’s a long time for a young couple who has never been apart for one night since they were married. Becky had a good week decorating the house. Her mom and sister came and visited as well.
The trip was a great experience for me. I got to get out and see things that I’ve never seen before. The world is a pretty neat place. The bad thing is that now I have a week of school to catch up on. My spanish class moves pretty quick, and I’ll have to work hard to catch up. Rob, I don’t know if I told you or not but I’m studying spanish this year. It’s been fun so far.
Well I’ve gone on long enough now. We wish you all the best of luck in everything you’re doing.

Congrats on the acceptance, and good luck with the rest!
So if you had a choice which one would you go to?? Also was the leaves changing colors yet in the east? If not you interviewed at the wrong time :) No but like Rob said gats on the acceptance it is a nice sight when you see the word acceptance, just as long as the words sorry or not is in front of it.
Congrats as well. If that is where you go, it would just give me one more reason to make a road trip to the East. But Kirksville would be good as well. There is a theology and philosophy conference there that I have been eying.
The leaves are turning in MN so maybe that is luck enough
Congrats on your acceptance! That is awesome. Someday I hope that we will finally recieve and acceptance. You will have to let us know where you are going.
Jason you asked which one is my preference. We would prefer to go to Kirksville, they are better established. The town itself is very nice. Yes Derik they have a small undergraduate school there. It looked like a nice school. We'll keep you all posted.
