2008 December: Bates

I was the slow poke this month and didn't write my newsletter... so here goes:

December was eventful. We went to Idaho for my father and sister's birthday. While there I did a bunch of computer things for different people.

Late that month we did a lot of computer stuff for neighbors. We've decided that we are going to tell people that I am a janitor- then hopefully they will stop asking for favors :)

Orianna crawled for the first time on Dec 23... and hasn't stopped since. It's been very fun to see her growing.

Other than that we've just been working and having the same old fun as always.

I usually tell people I teach/study philosophy. They tend to get a funny grin and start to back away slowly. I will then tilt my head, focus on some spot behind their head, and start mumbling. I never hear from them again.

Rob since you are a janitor I need some help with my toilet it keeps running, I am not sure what is wrong, could you bring your money wrench and fix it??? I just mention I clean peoples mouths and that usually does the trick

I want Rob to bring his money wrench as well. Whatever it does, I could use it.

Hey Rob, my computer is acting kind of funny, the next time you're driving through Pocatello would you mind.... :)
Becky's uncle is a computer guy too. Everytime he comes to visit his family in Bruneau they have a bunch of questions for him. I remember you said the same thing about your chiropractor-uncle, and I am expecting the same thing will develope for me once I get my Dr. degree.
Derik, do people ever say to you "hey since your going to be in town would you mind taking a look at my philosophy, it's been making some funny sounds lately?"

Rob, are you okay continuing to be the blog master or is it time for Jason or I to take charge? I think you're doing a great job, but if you want a break then I'm willing to step up. Maybe where we've switched to blog mode it's just easier for you to keep doing it. Anyway let me know.

I'm ok with doing it.
I'm probably the least busy. I'll go another year and hopefully by then I will figure a better way to pass the torch :)
