2007 October: Bates

October was another month of the mundane... UNTIL: we had the opportunity to go on a cruise with Tamara's family. They take a huge vacation every time one of their kids goes on a mission, and Tamara's little brother will leave in November. So, they organized a cruise along the Mexican Riviera. Unfortunately we couldn't afford to both go... but luckily it would have been impossible to get the 12 days off work for me, so I didn't have to feel bad about missing out.
Tamara had a blast with her family and they took lots of pictures, unfortunately I don't have the digitals to send-- so you'll just have to trust me that it was fun... and I have to trust them that the photos haven't been digitally altered in any way ;)
Tamara and her sisters all coordinated their Halloween costumes so that they were the witches of the North, South, East and West. Tamara was the god witch of the North. I went as wolverine with real metal claws I made myself (*see picture). We had a fun party at Tamara's sister's house, after which we played murder in the dark (a really cool version where you run around a pitch black house trying to kill, not be killed, find those who have died, and accuse/convict the murderer. It was very fun.
Other than that it was a normal month (though there was a lot of pining during the dozen days Tamara was gone).
Until November 30th,
-Rob & Tamara
